Several chats, one person

Open a new chat with someone from the bar at the top of your chat with them. Each topic has its own history and its own photos. When it's done, you archive it or empty it; the person stays in your circle.

Dictate instead of typing

Tap “Dictate” and speak: the text appears as you talk, with punctuation. It uses your phone's own speech recognition, so it doesn't go through our server.

Protect, schedule, annotate

Protect a message so it can only be read once. Schedule it to go out later. Add a private note only you can see. Reply, react, edit and forward, just as you'd expect.

Photos, albums, voice and files

Send one photo, or ten as an album, plus videos, documents and voice notes. All encrypted, with sharp thumbnails, and you can save them to your message folders.

Search everything

Find chats by name and messages by keyword, with or without accents, archived ones included. The index lives on your phone.

Questions about chats by topic.

Can I delete a whole chat?

Yes. A topic chat is deleted for both of you. Your main chat with someone can be emptied: the messages disappear for both of you and the chat stays, empty.

Does dictation work offline?

On many phones, yes: recognition happens on the device itself. If yours can't do that, it uses the system's speech service.
